Welcome to Jake Goertzen's Website

Jake Goertzen has become well-known in the Manitoba art scene for his sculptures since the mid 1990s. His work has been displayed in a two-man exhibit in Washington, D.C., and solo exhibits in Winnipeg, Morden, the Winnipeg Folk Festival (1999), and Horndean, Manitoba. He has been involved in an annual group exhibit in Altona, Manitoba for 6 years.

Goertzen's recent commissions have been over-life sized sculptures in a variety of media including stainless steel, bronze, mild steel, cultured marble and wax. The largest of these is a 12 foot stainless steel eagle mounted on a steel "pine" tree 78 feet high. Other wildlife sculptures include a 10 foot long Great Grey Owl and a 7 foot high steel peacock. He has also built several steel archways and decorative steel sculptures.
