St. Francis (right side)
Medium: Bronze
Dimensions: 1/3 life-size
Notes: This sculpture was commissioned by Chaplain Don Stoesz for his prison chapel at Bowden, Alberta. It was dedicated in October of 2015. The young Francis' charisma was very inspiring to his contemporaries, and so the artist chose to create a serene, compassionate, and youthful monk who was always eager to help anyone he met.

Bust of Charles Lewis (right side)
Medium: Bronze
Dimensions: Life-size
Notes: From about 2009 and on for several years thereafter my late wife and I sold ornamental iron products at Summer Fairs, and in particular at the St. Norbert Farmers' Market in Winnipeg. Sometimes had a displays of my sculptures, such as ornamental iron work and fine art as well, hoping to get a commission for further work. Most of the commissions I got were for custom projects in ornamental iron: Like gates, railings, and arbours. However, this time I received a private commission for a life-sized bust in bronze. On one or two occasions I had Mr. Lewis model for me at the Farmers' market, much to the delight to visitors to the market!

Dressing Up (front view)
Medium: Bronze on Marble Base
Dimensions: 5.5 inches high
Notes: This sculpture is the first of a series under the title of Canadiana. These will include a boy on a skateboard, a shinny hockey player, children with a dog on a toboggan, and working people.
During my early phase as a sculptor I made a number of
sketches in plasticine and clay as part of my To Love a
Child work. The joyful and imaginative nature of
childhood fun inspired me to try to capture it in a
sculpture. There are a number of other small sculptures
of children at play which I hope to cast in bronze as well. (2013)
Price: $500 or less, depending on the base.
