Angel Archway
Medium: Concrete
Dimensions: 13 H x 2 W x 14 W (feet)
Notes: My clients, the Braun's, commissioned an archway with the request that an angel be depicted on it. I made two designs: One flying, and one standing, each with a trumpet.
Their country farmyard is known as Bloominggail's, a place frequented by numerous vistors every summer. The Brauns wanted some of my work to beautify the approach to their house.
The arch is built of one-inch diameter pipes; the 10 mm steel reinforcing rods become vines with leaves and flowers. The leaves were pressed from dies that I built and the flowers were made of steel disks. (2003)

Angel Archway Centerpiece
Medium: Concrete
Dimensions: 30 H x 48 W (inches)
Notes: For the centerpiece, I had made two designs: One flying angel, and one standing, each with a trumpet. This is the flying one.
One-inch diameter pipes and the 10 mm steel reinforcing rods continue to the top, and they support the vines with leaves, flowers, and centerpiece there. The leaves were pressed from dies that I built and the flowers were made of steel disks. The centerpiece is made of concrete, which is then specially treated with a chemical glaze - to ensure it will last. (2003)
