Notes: This bison is similar in size and stance to the wax maquette, and was enlarged by 2 times, and used as a maquette for the previous sculpture, a 4-foot bison. This 2-foot bison was sold to Dominion Securities located at Floor 31 at 201 Portage Ave. Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Normally, the bull is a symbol of the stock market. Now a bull bison is stepping into the fray in a waiting room in an investment firm in Winnipeg! (2016)

The Horse That Bolted!
Medium: Steel
Dimensions: Face is 24 inches long.
Notes: This piece is made entirely of bolts! When I bought my studio building, the former owner who serviced his highway tractor in it, had left buckets of bolts. But instead of selling them as scrap steel, I decided to be creative with them and build a sculpture of the bust of a horse. Then I sold it to the owner of a riding stable, Darlene Dolinski of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The bucket of scrap would have sold for a few dollars at a scrap yard; but the sculpture sold for $2500.00! And I still had enough bolts left over for another project like this! Who says there is no money in the creative arts?
